Question of the week: 

"What is your biggest motivation on your fit journey?"

Laura (@ca2co_bbg): This question was really easy to answer but I have two answers to it. 1) My biggest motivation is the BBG Community. I never realized how much social media could change my life for the better until I made a fitness Instagram account about 10 weeks ago. I am motivated daily by thousands of amazing women who love their bodies and work so hard to live healthy lives. Seeing healthy meals, progress photos, #postworkoutselfies, and girls living a BALANCED life has been so motivating! 2) My biggest motivation is myself! This may sound a little conceited, but my progress over the past 12 weeks have inspired me to continue on my journey to be fitter, stronger, healthier, and more confident. I have been working so hard on NOT comparing myself to others, which ultimately has resulted in me competing with myself!

I just love Laura's answer! I completely agree...my first place of motivation in my fitness journey was Kayla Itsines. I found the #bbgcommunity a year ago. Since then, I did 2 rounds of BBG1 and 1 round of BBG2. She and her community helped me discover my passion to inspire others while living a healthy life! So I began to follow her footsteps by working as an online fit coach. Now, my biggest motivation is my husband and my clients! My husband plays professional basketball and works hard every day in two practices that both last hours on hours! He is the hardest worker I know. He never complains, and he is in incredible shape! Daily he encourages me to try new things, to not be afraid of heavy weights and no matter what he loves me. I value our relationship and I don't want to miss a second of our future due to poor health. My clients motivate me because they are TRULY following my programs. Can't preach what you don't practice!! Being a coach yourself is truly motivating :) 

What about you? What is your motivation? Has it changed over the course of your journey?

Just as Laura said, we have the opportunity to be inspired by others and chose to not compare ourselves with others. It can be the hardest to not compare, but what FREEDOM we find when we choose to look in the mirror and say "you, YOU are beautiful"?!  Because let's be honest... you wake up and work HARD on your goals every day! Your body sweats, your muscles burn, your mind breaks down the I can'ts and pushes you one workout at a time closer to those goals! It is BEAUTIFUL for those reasons! You fuel your body and seek to live a healthy life. Healthy living includes a positive, self-loving mindset! May we all walk away after reading this with motivation to compete with ourselves and lift up our fit sisters! After all, we can't change who we are. But we can change our perspective, be inspired by others' and chase our individuals goals!
